—Neural network (NN) is a machine learning approach modeled after biological nervous system, which estimates computation results that depend on a large number of inputs. In recent years, NN has been used for a wide range of management and optimization purposes in power system. This paper presents a survey of techniques for using NN in power systems. We highlight key attributes of these works to reveal their commonalities and differences. This survey is expected to help researchers in gaining insights into potential of NN in transforming next-generation power systems. |
