Popis: The building is located on Santa Clara Street, one of the best areas of Girona's old town. The design envisaged the transformation of an old administrative building built in the 1970s into a residential complex that would meet the modern demands of life. The design envisages the total rehabilitation of the entire building. Apart from the intervention on the façades, floors and roof structure, the focus of the project is the opening of light penetrations into the building. The large curved glass atrium is a modern, transparent well-lit space that increases the quality of life in this complex by providing the apartments with sunlight and ventilation. The glazed area is made up of a series of glass prisms that surround the stairwell on all floors and descend from the roof to above the passageway on the ground floor. Public common areas in the building are also open to this space. The second penetration of light into the building is of much smaller dimensions, above the transitional part of the ground floor to the common flat terrace of the first floor. The structure of the apartments in the building is different, from two-bedroom to duplex penthouse ones. The apartments open up onto both the street and the yard.
