Popis: The Sala della Chitarra Rovesciata, in Piazzola sul Brenta (40 km far from Venice) is a peculiar room included in a Venetian Villa realized in 17th Century. This room is developed into 4 levels, from the ground-floor to the third level, and it is provided with balconies, cavities and a special wooden ceiling at the last level. During the 17th century, musicians and singers used to play staying in different positions, and realizing a special music effect never investigated so far. In the room we have performed measurements of IRs by means of a dummy head and a soundfield microphone, locating the sound sources in different positions. Afterwards, the acoustics of the room has been recreated in the Arlecchino listening room available at CIARM, which is equipped with 3D auralisation renderings. The sound effects there obtained are presented and commented.
