The purpose of the flagship project Crossing Borders is the development and testing of cross-border services for electric mobility. A cross-border fast charging network, roaming and billing system and intermodal routing services will be implemented in cooperation with partners from Austria, Germany and Slovakia. On one hand, the market success of electric mobility will depend on the availability of high grade services for users. On the other hand, the users' motivation to choose alternate forms of mobility, to make informed mobility-based decisions and to explore novel mobility options is an essential step in reaching a significant momentum in electric mobility. However, the availability of electric mobility options must be met with suitable tools that inform and support the users. With this in mind, workpackage 5 (WP5) focuses on the question of what type of bonification, incentives and gamification mechanics will produce substantial change in mobility behavior. Based on state of the art research in playful incentive systems (f.e. gamification, serious games and game mechanics) a novel approach to explore the potential of games in the area of mobility will be undertaken. |
