Popis:	The discovery of new energy sources in the Eastern Mediterranean, and especially offshore the Republic of Cyprus, was believed to provide sufficient incentives to overcome the Cyprus intractable conflict. Gas was presented as the big game-changer and as a potential catalyst for a restart of the peace process, and possibly for its successful conclusion. Eight (8) months later this optimistic picture does not seem evident in the short-term horizon.
