This thesis analyzes the properties of hard coating coated on hot working steel X37CrMoV5-1 with PVD and PACVD technology. The implemented coatings were PACVD TiN, TiN/TiCN, TiN/TiBN and PVD TiNAlSiN. Properties such as coating thickness, adhesion, friction factor and hardness by nanoindentation were analyzed. The coating thickness was tested using calotest, ahesion was tested using Rockwelll indenter penetration acording to the VDI 3198 norm, friction factor was determined by using „ball on flat“ method and hardness by nanoindentation was tested using Helmut Fischer Fischerscope H100C at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana. The testings have determined that PVD coated TiNAlSiN coating has the best properties for coating die casts for casting aluminum alloys cause of their good adhesion and heat durability. |
