Popis: Cilj ovog završnog rada je pobliže pojasniti pojam acidoze buraga kod preživača i opisati mehanizam nastanka acidoze. Također, u ovom radu pojašnjeni su simptomi, načini prevencije pojave acidoze te načini dijagnosticiranja i liječenja istog. Acidoza buraga predstavlja zdravstveni poremećaj kod mliječnih krava i tovne junadi, koji može dovesti do ozbiljnih posljedica i pada proizvodnje. Takav poremećaj je sve češći u stadima, te je vrlo bitno obratiti pozornost na sve moguće simptome. Povišen unos obroka bogatih ugljikohidratima, dovodi do razgradnje šećera i škroba te oslobađanja hlapljivih masnih kiselina, zbog čega dolazi do zakiseljavanja buraga. pH buragova sadržaja snižava se ispod 5,5 što dovodi do narušavanja normalne acido-bazne ravnoteže.
Point of this final work is closely clarify the term of ruminal acidosis in ruminants and explain the mechanism of acidosis. Also, in this work are explained symptoms, ways of preventing acidosis, and methods of diagnose and treat it. Ruminal acidosis represents a health disorder in dairy and beef cattle, which can lead to serious consequences and a fall in production. A disorder like that is more and more common in herds, and it is very important to pay attention to all possible symptoms. Increased meals rich in carbohydrates, leads to degradation of sugar and starch and release of volatile fatty acids, why it comes to ruminal acidification. The pH of the ruminal content decrease below 5.5 which leads to disruption of the normal acid-base balance.
