Popis: | Micro-MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) spectroscopy are used to image and study metabolic activity of precision-cut liver slices (PCLS) on a microfluidic perfusion device. The imaging experiments were performed under static medium conditions while metabolic activity was monitored under continuous flow of medium. LDH (Lactate dehydrogenase) leakage assay was performed to assess the tissue viability on different days. MR images having ~30 (μm)2 in-plane resolution are recorded. This method could be used to culture and monitor PCLS non-invasively. |
