Popis: | In this paper, we introduce a new approach based on the definition and delimitation of the Human Performance Envelope (HPE) concept for cockpit operations and design. Instead of considering one or two single human factors, the HPE investigates a set of interdependent factors, working alone or in combination, leading to a performance decrement that could affect safety. The HPE approach is needed to improve the HMI design to develop innovative solutions and adaptive automations, which can provide effective recovery measures, if the human performance is compromised. ABSTRACT In this paper, we introduce a new approach based on the definition and delimitation of the Human Performance Envelope (HPE) concept for cockpit operations and design. |
