| Popis: | Mestrado em Gestão de Sistemas de Informação Com a rápida evolução que a tecnologia tem nos dias de hoje, é essencial para as organizações manterem-se atualizadas para que possam responder aos seus desafios e necessidades. Para isso, as organizações necessitam fazer investimentos em sistemas de informação. A gestão de benefícios ajuda a medir e acompanhar os benefícios, permitindo aos gestores de negócio concluir se o investimento retorna os benefícios esperados. Este estudo incidiu sobre a implementação de um sistema de impressão no ISEG e procurou perceber quais os benefícios que este investimento trouxe para a organização. A abordagem seguida neste estudo para a gestão de benefícios é a da Universidade de Cranfield que procura perceber quais os objetivos do investimento, os benefícios que se pretendem alcançar e os meios para atingir esses benefícios. Procura-se identificar os owners dos benefícios e das mudanças que levam a realização dos benefícios. Para o efeito, foi adotada a metodologia de estudo de caso onde se realizou uma análise a documentos internos que deram suporte à implementação do projeto e foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas que se traduziram numa rede de dependências de benefícios e outras ferramentas que demonstram e estruturam os benefícios. No final é possível verificar que os benefícios propostos no inicio foram alcançados e que o estudo sobre a gestão de benefícios acrescenta valor para os gestores de negócio, na medida em que estrutura de forma clara os benefícios do investimento. Technology’s fast growing pace witnessed nowadays forces organizations to stay updated since these may play a crucial role on how effectively and efficiently they face their daily challenges and needs. In order to keep updated when it comes to technological developments, organizations have to make investments in information systems. However, the organization’s managers should stay informed if the benefits of the investments in information systems are in line with what was expected in the first place. Benefits management comes to help measure and follow up the benefits of these investments, providing the managers with important tools to make future decisions. The research within this paper is related to the implementation of a new printing system in ISEG and its main goal is to find out the main benefits that this investment brought to the organization. The approach used in this benefits management research is from Cranfield University, seeks to understand the investment objectives, the benefits to be achieved and the ways to achieve those benefits, and seeks to identify the owners of the benefits and the changes that lead to these. Briefly, a case study methodology was adopted, where an analysis was performed on internal documents that supported the implementation of the project and semi-structured interviews were carried out, which resulted in a benefit dependency network and other tools that help to structure and demonstrate the benefits. In conclusion, it is possible to verify that the initial proposed benefits were achieved and that benefits management add value to business managers. info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion |
