Housing is an element of quality of life and the basic human need to which everyone is entitled. This right is difficult to achieve in cities such as Dubrovnik, where finding housing is becoming more and more difficult. With locals, housing are searching students who have come from other part of the city or state to study in Dubrovnik, the work force who is coming as well from the other places and are mainly employed in the tourism and tourists who visit the city. Due to economic profit, tourists are most often favored, which in addition to higher prices, crowds and noise, is just one more example of how tourism, with all the positive sides can have a negative impact as well. This paper analyzes the quality of life of young people in Dubrovnik, the quality of housing and the participation of social actors in solving the problem of young people. In the research we made interviews with young people from two city districts: Mokošica and Grad. Also we made interviews with students from University of Dubrovnik and spend questionnaire among students of the first year of university studies. The young people pointed out that for them the quality of life is a bigger problem than the quality of housing moreover they are mostly satisfied with it. However, they believe that there are not so many living space and accommodation for young people and that the solution lies in the processes of urban revitalization and the sustainable development of the city, where all social actors in the area should be involved in order to improve the economic situation that forms the basis for any development.
