Popis: International audience; A clear inspiration from the Pisan models seems to be evident in the Provencal productions of the 17th century. Many ceramics decorated in "slipware" or incised "a sgraffiato" underglaze are related to the repertpoire of forms and ornaments of Tuscan workshops in the early 17th century. A little everywere in Provence, this "fashion" undoubtedly, or perhaps, testifies of a transfer of know-how of craftsmen installed or passed by Moustiers. From this last major center of ceramic production came from the years 1620 and until the 18th century many potters who first create workshops in the valley of Huveaune, then in the Val de Durance and maritime Basse-Provence. Their productions had a growing succes and a strong and wide diffusion first regional, then Mediterranean and until the Americas.
