EFFECTS OF MAIZE GRAIN ADDED IN A DIET BASED ON ALFALFA HAYLAGE ON THE RATION QUALITY IN WETHER SHEEP

Popis: | Cilj rada bio je utvrditi utjecaj dodatka zrna kukuruza (ZK) (5 ili 10 g d-1 kg-1 tjelesne mase) sjenaži lucerne (SL) na ad libitum konzumaciju obroka i vode te i in vivo probavljivost suhe tvari (ST) u hranidbi kastriranih ovnova. SL i ZK su sadržavali 534,7 i 915,1g ST kg-1 svježeg uzorka, respektivno te 141,6 i 106 g sirovih proteina (SP) kg-1ST. Dodatak ZK (5 i 10 g d-1kg-1tjelesne mase kastrata) SL je linearno povećao (P0,05). Dodatak ZK kao energetske komponente obroku baziranome na SL kao proteinske komponente povećava hranidbenu vrijednost obroka. The objective of this experiment was to study the effects of interactions between alfalfa haylage (AH) and maize grain (MG) (5 vs. 10 g d-1 kg-1 body weight) on ad libitum intake, water intake and dry matter (DM) digestibility in wether sheep. The AH and MG contained 534.7 and 915.1g DM kg-1 fresh sample respectively, while crude protein (CP) concentration was 141 and 106.0 g kg-1DM.
