Business processes exercised in the healthcare domain need a substantial redefinition and adjustment to the new requirements on healthcare systems, such as increasing services quality while retaining or even lowering overall costs. Ericsson Mobile Health (EMH) is a system that offers healthcare professionals a set of features pertaining to mobile collecting of and access to patient medical data. EMH introduces mobility into a healthcare system, which ensures a significant increase of healthcare services quality level. It is a lightweight yet robust system that periodically or continuously measures patient’s vital values and forwards them to medical experts via wireless and wireline technologies. These medical data can therefore be obtained and analysed by authorised parties. The paper brings forth the main features of EMH focusing on handling the medical data originating at the mobile client side and transferred to the server side. Ultimately, it is available on a physician’s PC screen. |
