Popis: The overall objective of the CITIZEN MEDIA project is research, development and validation of audio-visual systems to enable non-professional users to co-create networked applications and experiences based on their own user-generated content. The research presented in this report contributes to the overall objective of the project by: * Identifying a media user typology among the citizens of Austria, Germany, Norway, UK, Sweden, and Spain. By using cluster analysis, the following media user types describing distinct forms of media behaviour are identified: Non-users, Sporadic users, Instrumental users, Entertainment users, and Advanced users. * Providing insight into how non-professional users co-create new media applications today in both online and offline communities. Age related differences with respect to UGC are identified. * Evaluating the usefulness and usability of the collected requirements. The requirements are further translated into the technical/design requirements. Moreover, a recommendation in priority of different user requirements targeting different user types is provided. * Developing tools for capturing requirements and evaluating CITIZEN MEDIA use cases and applications in and outside the testbeds. Reporting our experience with the tools that have been used and the insight they provided.
