| Popis: | The parameters from von Bertalanffys growth equation were estimated for Mugil curema located in Cuyutlan coastal lagoon in Colima, Mexico. Growth parameters were L #8734;= 364.7 mm, W #8734; = 456.61 g, k = 0.219, to = -1.557, (A 0.95) = 15 years. Some important differences among growth rates of this species from other areas were observed. Significant differences in the growth rate between sexes were found: females: L #8734; = 365.8 mm, k = 0.221, to = -0.505; A0.95 = 14 years; males: L #8734; = 322.0 mm, k = 0.251, to = -0.441, A0.95 = 12 years. |
