Popis: | This paper describes the implementation and validation in the BOUSS-WMH numerical model of a new trigger mechanism for the initiation and termination of wave breaking. The initial approach is based on the vertical acceleration of the free surface elevation while the new approach is based on the Relative Trough Froude Number (RTFN). With either method an additional momentum term is introduced to describe the energy dissipation due to wave breaking using an eddy viscosity model. |
