The importance of offering more than a National Minimum Wage (NMW) and a “Living\ud Wage” is an increasing area of focus in corporate social responsibility (CSR). We identify and\ud analyse the key barriers and enablers for successful Living Wage adoption in contracts and\ud compare them to other CSR measures identified in the literature. An exploratory study is\ud conducted to assess the extent to which such barriers and enablers are present within the\ud context of the Living Wage. One of the most surprising findings is the lack of resistance and\ud high level of support offered from all buyers and suppliers interviewed. |
