Popis: The archaeological research in the southern Etruria territory (between Tuscany and Latium regions, Italy) has made many progress in the last ten years. Cerveteri is one of the main important town of this territory, located between Veio, in the south, and Tarquinia in the north. The amount of knowledge, related to the ancient town and its environment, it has become remarkable and complex and one of the aim of the present project is the reconstruction of the urban plan of the Cerveteri etruscan town in relation to its territory. The National Research Council (CNR), through two it's institute (ISMA and ITABC), in collaboration with the Soprintendenza Archeologica planned a research project of the urban archaeology based on the direct archaeological explorations and landscape geophysical surveys.
