Field experiments were conducted in 2016 to evaluate the effects of different population densities and cow dung manure application rates on growth, yield and nutritional quality of watermelon in an Ultisol, Nigeria. The plant population densities were 15,625, 12,346, 10,000 and 8,264 plants ha−1 while the cow dung rates comprised 10, 7.5, 5 and 2.5 t ha-1. The treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block design.
