Popis: The promotion of condom use among young people has received increased attention, due to its importance in reducing the level of unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections. However, a significant proportion of young people still fail to protect themselves during sexual intercourse. Condom use has been shown to be influenced by several factors, including personal health values, previous sexual risk behavior, availability of sex and relationships education, and communication with parents. Attitudes and feelings towards condoms and condom use may also influence subsequent use of condoms among young people. The South African government has been funding campaigns and strategies against HIV infection for some time. The distribution of free condoms (Choice to Max) to all parts of the country is one of the strategies that the government initiated to protect people from HIV and other STIs. The purpose of this study is to investigate the attitudes of young people on choice condoms. Recommendations on the promotion of healthy sexual behavior among young people in South Africa are given. Keywords: attitudes, young people, condoms
