Popis: Swaziland is one of the Sub-Sahara Africa countries that continue to face the scourge of HIV infection. This study assessed the knowledge and attitude of primary school teachers regarding HIV/AIDS. The study adopted a quantitative, descriptive cross-sectional design. One hundred and twenty teachers were randomly sampled from 5 primary schools to participate in this study. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaire. Almost 87% of the respondents were females. A vast majority of the respondents (94.0%) had basic knowledge of HIV/AIDS and also had a positive attitude towards HIV positive pupils. Although, all the respondents had heard about HIV/AIDS, only 41.7% of them had received formal training on HIV/AIDS. Therefore, it is necessary for the government in collaboration with non-governmental organizations in the country to organize a formal training for all the teachers. Keywords: Knowledge, attitude, HIV positive pupils, primary school teachers
