Modern passanger cars for international traffic require four-system converters for power supply of electrical equipments on board. Paper presents complete solution of multisystem converter VIS 50, entirely result of R&D activities in Končar IET company, which provides power supply of all sorts of electrical equipments installed on board of a modern passenger car regardless of applied standardized RIC input voltage. It is IGBT based converter with microprocessor based control and dignostic unit, optical data/signal transmission and active control of input impedance. Converter is constructed on modular basis thus forming a firm base for realization of entire family of converters of various power ratings, suitable for application with different power supply systems. |
