Analgesics in dentistry is an integral part of everyday clinical practice, especially in demanding procedures or necessary tooth extraction. Analgesics can be administrated by inhalation, topical or infiltrating anesthesia with varying effect and duration of action. The aim of this study is to determine the peculiarities of local anesthesia in dentistry in their application regard to: request (patient and/or dentist, planned intervention, method of local anesthesia, duration of local anesthetic action, observed unpleasant occurences and overall satisfaction of the patient. The survey was conducted on 302 respondents through an online survey in the area of Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Respondents are people of different ages and occupations. The results showed how satisfied and dissatisfied people are with the way in which they are applied, the action and the lenght of local anesthesia in dentistry.
