The paper depicts the possibilities of implementing marketing concepts in Croatian higher education. Building on the claim that the education is an important factor of the development and the quality of life of society, the authors discuss the influence of the macroenvironment to the educational system. They especially stress the globalization process, entering the European Union, tertiarization of the economy, technological advances and the changes in the number and structure of the population as important factor influencing the educational system. The perceived trends impose the need of all subjects involved in the educational system to adjust to the conditions of their environment. |
