In this work, the basic dimensions of the problem of teacher education for sustainable development are being considered, that is, the developments which occur within this process. What is more, teacher education for sustainable development is being viewed as a specific agent of change as compared to the prevailing changes. A reference to these changes is important because it calls our attention to some disadvantages within education for sustainable development that are more or less characteristic of larger teacher education systems. This particularly refers to the interpretation of nature and limitations on the diversity of contents and learning outcomes, as well as the diversity of forms and methods of work. |
