Transformer losses are important for designing the transformer. In this paper it is shown how tools based on finite element method (FEM) can improve the optimization process of a transformer. FEM tools help both in situations where something new or unusual is used or to compare a set of different solutions. In the paper is shown how FEM tools can be used to predict temperature rise of structural parts. |
