Popis: Throughout the bridge life a traffic loading will produce large numbers of repetitive loading cycles in bridge elements which could lead to fatigue damage. Fatigue reliability assessment of steel railway bridges using deterministic procedures is often conservative. More realistic verification of performance of existing bridge structures can be achieved by probabilistic methods when basic variables are described by appropriate stochastic models. The source of information’s for fatigue reliability assessment is primarily a set of stress range data collected for fatigue critical details in a considered bridge. Therefore it is necessary to collect as much as possible measured stress range data in all potential critical details. However, this is not always possible due to the unavailability of details for setting up measuring devices, scope of the measurements, costs etc. Field measurements in some of potentially critical details in the structure can give the basis for refined FE analyses which provides bases for fatigue reliability analysis for all potentially critical details. As illustration, paper presents the fatigue reliability analysis of two critical details on steel railway bridge located on frequent railway in Croatia based on field measurements and FE analysis.
