The paper presents a strategy for tailoring Rational Unified Process to conform to specific project needs and enhance effective planning, control and management. Case study project is a small project for developing e-school application. Process tailoring is achieved in environmental context, project features, and established project goals. Tailoring guidelines are founded on the agreed process tailoring concepts, primarily on the concept of identifying and prioritizing project risks, determining project size and required project formality. Favorable tailoring decisions are formalized and stored as a part of the process model, and thus can be applied in future projects. |
