The quality of human resources is mostly determined by the quality of the education system, which is determined by the quality of life and standard of living, investments in education and participation in education. Education is a subsystem of society whose structure, economic and social benefits and contents depends on the characteristics of its environment. Transfer and application of knowledge is essential for the adoption and implementation of important manufacturing and other social decisions. But the objective of education should not only be acquisition of new competencies that will enable employment but also those which will enable them for active participation in the society. The quality can be measured according to dynamics of employment of educated citizens who finished a certain level of education. For the purpose of the work it has been conducted a detailed analysis of the labour market by level of education in selected EU Member States in the period from 2001 to 2013. It has been analyzed the labor force, employed and unemployed. The analyzed countries are the Republic of Austria, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Croatia as associate member of the European Union. |
