Nowadays there are increased demands and orders for the distribution of goods, especially in urban areas due to constant population growth. Distribution of goods, which is mainly carried out by road transport in urban areas, results in traffic congestion, noise, emissions and harmful traffic generated by delivery vehicles. This paper deals with the topic of new trends in city logistics and distribution of goods in urban areas. New technologies, such as electric vehicles, contribute to the optimization of city logistics. Possible application of electric vehicles in city logistics is shown in the example of the city of Zagreb. |
