Using the resources efficiently and effectively is the foundation for enterprise strategy success in today’s business environment. The importance of project management is not in question when one-time goals defined in a project are observed. However, only with the coordinated program management strategic goals can be reached. In that context project goals can be observed only as milestones on the way to the strategic goals achievement. In this article the specifics of project and program management are reviewed from different aspects on the grounds of increasing the level of efficiency and effectiveness in the enterprise resource usage taking into account the constraints and quality. Analysis and synthesis presented in this article are founded on relevant and recent scientific research in the field of project management, and its validity is verified against a case study in a pharmaceutical company. Presented results are a part of a more detailed model for project management in the manufacturing enterprises |
