Popis: A review on aluminium foils and application in the food processing industry and packing have been described in the article. In the experimental part samples of aluminium foils in the food processing industry and packing of different thickness of 12 micrometers to 130 micrometers, of different alloys 8011 and 8079 and of different world manufacturers have been collected. Mechanical properties, strength and elongation have been examined on all samples. The results obtained are discussed and direction for the further examination given.
