Popis: | Diversity is significant for understanding the world around us. It has the potential to boost the development of society overall. Good governance is strongly related to diversity management. As stated 40 years ago, all population groups presented in the bureaucratic bodies ensure the capturing of all existing interests—representing each kind of diversity at the public bodies. The paper gives a descriptive analysis of state-of- the-art diversity regarding European governance bodies and populations. Results show a strong relationship between macroeconomic measures and diversity characteristics. The development of societies encourages stronger diversity orientation and vice versa. On the other hand, diversity recognition and implementation should be the natural result of civilization. Its artificial stimulation without a fundamental change in people's mindset does not yield the desired results. |
