Popis: Since the new business normality becomes ever-changing ecosystem, a permanent capability upgrading are needed in management and governance, in order to provide the firm’s survival, nevertheless the possibility to make advantage in the business, social and institutional environment it operates in. Moreover, enlarged business context, whether real of virtual, interfere. Operating in such an unbounded reality challenges nowadays many of the established models and prhoneses strategic management has revolved and fragmented around, and requires more integrative frameworks or theoretical platforms that fits. Therefore, this study imports the dynamic capabilities framework: relaying on its integrative nature and the fact not being develop as a theory with defined boundaries, we propose a new applicability of the construct, underpinned by the organizational and managerial competences for sensing and reading the environment cues, sustained with abductive reasoning. While the related measures of the construct are still lacking, we have developed an index as a composite measure of firm’s dynamic capacity. It’s empirical verification through the research results conducted in Croatia is presented.
