Popis: Washing is a very complex process due to the presence of many factors such as chemical and physical properties of textiles, chemical property of stains and their distribution on textiles, washing temperature, time, mechanical agitation and detergent ingredients. It is necessary to optimize all of them due to achieving proper process quality. Quality control is based on the prescribed criteria that can be defined by various systems. Hygiene is important with particular regard to the laundering of textiles coming from hospitals, nursing homes, food-processing and pharmaceutical industry. Disinfection can be performed by thermal, chemical and chemo-thermal procedures. Thermo-disinfection is performed by heat, considering temperature and time as more significant than added chemicals. Various disinfection inorganic and organic agents are applied in chemo and chemo-thermal procedures. High efficiency of combined chemo-thermal procedure is mostly significant for textiles laundered at low temperatures due to their composition or coloration. Disinfection procedures depend on temperature, agent concentration and activity, duration and kind of potentially pathogenic microorganisms that can cause infection. Quality control mechanisms and disinfection procedures as well as critical control point (CCP) are presented in the paper.
