Popis: Explosive-risk environments are the areas where there is a high probability of creating conditions for explosion. Possible source of explosion is a mixture of flammable gasses. The properties of the explosions are affected by concentration of gasses in the mixture (volume ratio of gas and air). The scope of this paper is to explore the properties of explosion caused by flammable gasses in the case of closed pipes. The properties are measured through the maximal pressure and the flame front velocity. Controllable factors are concentration of gas in mixture (the volume ratio of hydrogen gas and air) and the volume of the closed experimental pipe. The presented results describe the observed phenomena, when boundary conditions (factor values) occurs, using design of experiments - response surface methodology (DOE- RSM). The gained knowledge will help understand the mentioned phenomena and develop a procedure for designing more precise explosion protection system.
