Popis: Concrete pavement restoration techniques are divided into two general categories: corrective activities and preventive activities. Corrective activities repair a given distress and improve the serviceability of the pavement. Full-depth repair and partial-depth repair are corrective activities. Preventive activities are proactive activities that slow or prevent the occurrence of distress in order to keep the serviceability high. Joint and crack resealing, retrofitting concrete shoulders, and retrofitting edge drains are preventive techniques. Diamond grinding, dowel-bar retrofit, slab stabilization, cross-stiching and grooving can be as both corrective and preventive techniques. All these restoration techniques are described in this paper. It aims to briefly explain and show which repair or preventive technique to apply.
