Social entrepreneurship includes a combination of innovation, resourcefulness and opportunities for dealing with social and environmental problems. Social problems of great magnitude, such as poverty, energy, waste, water, education, health and jobs should be the responsibility of the state. However, to come to better solution to these problems, we need to utilize the innovation and agility of the social entrepreneurship. State institutions lack the characteristic features that these entrepreneurs represent - greater focus on the outcomes and the ability to explore different models of problem solving. Social enterprise is, first of all, an enterprise – but also equally interested in social influence in relation to solving the social problem and generating revenue. Social entrepreneurship often offers innovative solutions to social problems, using new technology and/or methods. The business model of a social entrepreneur is reflected through making the profit, the same as with any other entrepreneur. But in adition to that, social entrepreneurs put their best effort to maximize positive social impact as well. This paper will try to define the trends of social entrepreneurship and social innovations and also present the innovative projects in social entrepreneurship. |
