Popis: The reason for the seismic analysis of the existing building are two earthquakes that occurred in the Republic of Croatia, the first in Zagreb on March 22, 2020 and the second on December 29, 2020 in Petrinja. One of the many buildings that suffered damage during the Zagreb earthquake is located at Savska 90, which was built in the first half of the twentieth century. The load-bearing structure of this building was built according to the standards of the time ; without horizontal and vertical circles and that the intermediate structure is not connected to the vertical load-bearing elements. Due to the fact that the building does not act as a single unit, its seismic resistance is greatly reduced. To compare with modern buildings and designs, the same reinforced concrete structure model was made with currently standards and norms for proper construction of earthquake-resistant building (position and arrangement of horizontal circles, minimum thickness of load-bearing wall, ...). The Dimensioning and display of load-bearing elements was performed for reinforced concrete structure, and the method used in dynamic analysis is a linear method - modal calculation using the response spectrum to obtain the total displacement of the structure due to earthquakes for the observed location. The Sizing and analysis were performed in the computer program SCIA engineer 20. The following calculations are based on the conditions, rules and data obtained from the relevant Eurocode standards.
