In the area of the Roman Empire, only 10 inscriptions dedicated to god Sedatus have been found so far. Six of ten inscriptions, among which the ones from the territory of civitas Maezeiorum (roman province of Dalmatia) mention a group of devotees- collegia. Based on the characteristics of these groups and the “profile” of all the followers, as well as the context of finding of the monuments, the paper aims to define the character of collegium Sedati in Dalmatia and the competences of Sedatus in general. |
