The increase in the share of electric micromobility in urban areas, primarily electric two-wheelers (bicycles, scooters and rollers), thanks to the development of modern battery and electric drive systems, affects the efficiency, safety and ecology of urban transport. Electric micromobility reduces the share of larger motor vehicles in traffic, traffic jams and pollution and increases throughput. By reducing the number of cars in traffic, road safety increases, but at the same time, the risk of incident situations on the pavements increases. For this reason, it is necessary to ensure optimal conditions for the circulation of micro electric vehicles and to create a legal framework and adjust traffic regulations for micromobility in urban areas. |
