Introduction: Modern society has categorized animal purpose and use by shaping the legislation and codices applicable to present relation. Discussion: Understanding animal welfare means having an insight into who are animals, their intrinsic value, species relations in the biomass, purposes humans bestowed upon animals, and legislation of large political and economic entities referring to keeping and breeding animals, with contemporary welfare insight incorporated and used to form legislation and advisory bodies and global organizations addressing multiple issues. The principles of reduction, replacement and refinement in animal welfare are applied in science. However, every single animal or breeding plan can have a change of purpose. This means that animals are classified into a different category. Conclusion: Merging the global cooperation of large national and economic communities considering activities in the niches involving animals, especially in science, brought the uniformity of norms based on animal welfare principles and codex development. |
