Popis:	The aim of this paper is to present the methods of public health approach in promoting the prevention and early detection of breast cancer in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County. The paper is based on the implemented public health activities of the Health Promotion Department of the Public Health Institute of Dubrovnik-Neretva County (PHI) in the period 2002 - 2021. Over the observed period two key outcomes of public health approach to breast cancer prevention in DNC marked development and increased network of acitivities and networking with other stakholders regarding breast cancer. With the implemented activities, the PHI has become a recognized institution in the community in the field of promoting awareness and the importance of early detection of this disease.
