This paper presents the concept of Web Mapping Service for ENC as defined by the PRIMAR project group, forming the basis for establishing a service which should facilitate the use of ENCs for non-navigational purposes, i.e. for administrative tasks of different institutions engaged in sea related activities. The paper describes the use of that service for an application which should be support tools in the decision making about ship’s request for a place of refuge |
