Popis: In this article two different material formulations are compared in numerical modelling metal forming problems. Finite deformation elasto-plastic material formulation of total type that assumes validity of multiplicative decomposition of deformation gradient and uses Henckey strain measure is compared to rigid-plastic material formulation. Updated Lagrangian equations of motion are used and friction is described by use of Columbo and constant friction model. Special attention is dedicated to incompressibility issue of the rigid-plastic material formulations as one of the crucial topics of that problems. Comparisons of formulations is based on the analysis of the cylinder upsetting problem with flat dies.
