Popis: | Kappa is the leading provider of Dynamic Data Analysis software that granted our Faculty by free educational license (#9643). At the ASEC 2017 Workshop, the students will be guided step by step to learn how to use the main features to perform a Pressure Transient Analysis in Saphir module. This will include: creating a new document, loading the data, extracting the necessary plots, the use of the analysis tools, the generation of an analytical model and how to improve it. Pressure Transient Analysis, or PTA, is analyzing the shut-in data (pressure build up test analysis) in order to evaluate reservoir permeability, skin factor and other reservoir characteristics. The pressure response from these shut-ins can be used to provide information about the reservoir within the radius of investigation for radial flow or the area of investigation for more complex geometries. The diagnostic plot of choice is the log log plot where the pressure and the Bourdet derivative allow the identification of reservoir geometry and properties. Saphir is the industry standard PTA software. Its simple user interface and workflow allows for fast training and self-learning for occasional users. For the advanced user, it offers a unique combination of analysis tools, analytical models and numerical models which can connect to other dynamic data applications. The scope of the Workshop is to learn how to analyse one simple pressure build up test of the vertical well in the conventional oil reservoir, evaluating its permeability and wellbore damage (scin factor). |
