With introduction of multimedia learning techniques in teaching and learning process, a great number of traditionally prepared course materials are transformed and transferred to the multimedia environment. Usually, this transformation is based on cognitive theory of multimedia learning and several principles that are devised from it. Although these principles are primarily meant to be used in the multimedia teaching environment, some of them can be used to enhance traditional classroom lectures. An approach for introducing multimedia teaching principles to the traditional teaching methods is described in this paper. As presented in the results gained, proposed approach met the expectation of better results, especially in engineering learning courses. |
