Popis: The main task of the washing process is to remove stains and microorganisms from soiled and contaminated textiles. Not properly disinfected hospital textiles can be one of the possible carriers of infections, and a source of pathogens. Therefore, a satisfactory disinfection is mandatory as well as a good washing effect in hospital environment. In this paper the standardized washing procedure at 75°C according to HRN EN ISO 15797:2018 was innovated with ecologically favourable Ɛ- phthalimido-peroxy- hexanoic acid agent (PAP) as well as reduced washing temperature at 50 °C. The aim of proposed procedure are environmental and socio-economic benefits: costs, energy and safety. The hygiene effect of the washing procedure was tested using two standard bioindicators: Enterococcus faecium, ATCC 6057 and Staphylococcus aureus, ATCC 6538. The results showed that the standard procedure was efficient, while innovated procedure requires a need for further adjustment of the washing parameters.
