Popis: Tourism encourages the development of various supporting activities and services. These services and activities are designed and created within the tourist destination. This tourist destination represents a place in which an offer of various interconnected services is supplied, and where companies in the tourism sector are connected. Considering the tourist destination of the island of Rab, it is possible to state the following: Rab, as an island destination, naturally possesses attractive natural resources of high tourist value, a highly developed island surface configuration, a harmonious combination of hills, bays, fields and pastures, in mostly indented coasts. To maintain a balance between preservation of the original qualities of the area and new construction, it is necessary to take into account the sustainable development of this tourist destination. Hotels and attractive natural features make some of the most important elements of the overall tourist attraction. In this scientific paper, the research of elements of Rab’s tourist attractions is presented by a research of certain sectors. Also, the results of a conducted survey of the managers of touristic and highly visited landmarks is reported. In this case-study, the main factors and trends of the destination Rab, as well as guidelines for further development and improvement of the tourism industry and related activities are listed. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the influence of elements of tourism on the island of Rab on all aspects of the island's development. This research aims to recognize and point out the importance of the development of certain suppliers to potential tourists, and on factors that influence the further development of tourism. The concept of this research includes an analysis of the current situation, offers recommendations for further development, and can be used for future similar research.
